Shipwrecks: Meet the Prince of Asturias<\/h2>\n

There are several Shipwrecks<\/strong> all over Brazil, sad stories that today have become beautiful places to visit, full of corals that support marine life and full of emotion when you dive inside them<\/p>\n

Let's get to know some of the Shipwrecks<\/strong> most important in history and thus know how to find them<\/p>\n

An imposing ship built in 1914 for the main reason of making a transatlantic route from Barcelona to Spain.<\/p>\n

To the city of Buenos Aires in Argentina, thus linking Europe to South America<\/p>\n

Carrying out cargo transportation as well as passenger transportation<\/p>\n

The ship was huge, 150 meters long and weighing more than 16,000 tons, totally luxurious and even with fans<\/p>\n

The route was carried out in about 30 days, until one day............<\/p>\n

Shipwrecks<\/h3>\n

The big ship left for its sixth voyage, however, departing from Barcelona, Spain, bound for Santos<\/p>\n

With approximately 1,300 people (800 believed to be stowaways fleeing the war), packed with valuable cargo<\/p>\n

In addition to materials such as bronze, wine, pewter and statues, it is estimated that there was around 40,000 pounds of gold on the ship<\/p>\n

On March 6, 1916, the wind was blowing strongly and the ship was approaching the island of S\u00e3o Sebasti\u00e3o (today Ilhabela).<\/p>\n

It was around 4 a.m. and most of the passengers were asleep, but there are reports<\/p>\n

That a party was taking place in the main hall with music, when the ship hit Ponta da Pirabura with all its might<\/p>\n

Tearing through the bottom of the ship, which soon filled the engine room where there was a huge explosion, speeding up the sinking<\/p>\n

Which lasted less than 10 minutes after hitting the coast of the island of S\u00e3o Sebasti\u00e3o<\/p>\n

with a consequence of approximately 500 deaths<\/p>\n

The 500 deaths are the number of passengers and crew registered in Barcelona,<\/p>\n

But there were 800 illegal immigrants who simply disappeared from the statistics<\/p>\n

Many bodies were found on what is now Praia da Caveira in Ilhabela (hence the name).<\/p>\n

Reports say that the captain and his aide committed suicide by shooting themselves in the head<\/p>\n

Diving for the Prince of Asturias<\/h3>\n

The practice of diving<\/strong> in Pr\u00edncipe de Asturias is definitely not for amateurs, and it's far from it<\/p>\n

The place has extremely rough seas and it takes a long time to get there by boat due to the active sea<\/p>\n

The view at the bottom is just over 3 meters, with a lot of debris, requiring a good course. diving<\/strong><\/p>\n

But if you count on good weather, you'll have a rewarding experience in the end<\/p>\n

Diving in Principessa Mafalda<\/h2>\n

This giant vessel of Italian origin was inaugurated in 1909 and had the following requirements<\/p>\n

Luxurious accommodation that was the envy of the ships of the time, as well as being the fastest ship on the Europe-South America line.<\/p>\n

With a length of 147 meters, it was beautiful wherever it sailed<\/p>\n

He even made the journey in less than half the time of the Prince of Asturias,<\/p>\n

We even completed the journey in just 14 days<\/p>\n

In the war, the ship was almost shot down by a bomber and had complications when torpedoes were fired at it<\/p>\n

The ship was mainly used by wealthy South American families to travel to Europe<\/p>\n

Carrying around 1,300 people in an organized and calm manner, plus 300 crew members<\/p>\n

On his last transatlantic voyage on October 25, 1927, he headed for South America,<\/p>\n

More precisely on the coast of Bahia, where there are several shipwrecks<\/p>\n

The captain began to notice a difference in the ship's operation and soon after there was a loud noise and consequently a tremor<\/p>\n

Then the ship began to sink and a distress call was sent out, where several ships certainly came to the rescue.<\/p>\n

Like the Alhena Ship, the Formose Ship and other smaller Brazilian vessels<\/p>\n

Even so, the death toll from this tragedy reached 400 people,<\/p>\n

In fact, many jumped into the water even though they couldn't swim<\/p>\n

There are still stories that sharks have appeared to terrorize the situation even more<\/p>\n

Today the wreck lies 75 miles off the coast of Bahia in the town of Cumuruxatiba- BA<\/p>\n

And its position recorded in the distress call is 16\u00b0 58\u2032 south and 037\u00b0 51\u2032 west and would be at a depth of almost 100 meters know other shipwrecks<\/p>\n

The dive<\/h2>\n

The dive, if found due to the depth of almost 2000 meters, must be carried out with the help of machines and technology<\/p>\n
